How to Enter
Entries will be judged and winners chosen based on quality of craftsmanship, design, originality, creativity, journaling, photos, title, skill of techniques and whether each entry complies with requirements. Ten Masters and 10 Runners-up will be chosen.
- Send one actual/original 12x12 single-page layout highlighting your interpretation of the theme: I Believe. The theme does not have to be the page’s title. Please use actual photos on the page (no color-copied photos). An all-digital layout meets this requirement.
- Send four different, original color-copied layouts (approximately full-size), of any theme, representing your best scrapbook artwork and special abilities. Layouts may be a mix of single pages or two-page spreads (a two-page spread counts as one layout), in any of the following sizes: 12x12; 8.5x11; or 24x12. If the layout features mechanical elements or special features not visible from a basic color copy, please include additional copies showing the special elements. Please only send color copies; artwork will not be returned.

Until the official announcement of the chosen Masters and Runners-up for 2009 (no later than August 22, 2008), all layouts will be the property of Memory Makers. The layouts of artists who are chosen as 2009 Masters and Runners-up become property of Memory Makers for the 2009 term. This allows Memory Makers the right to publish the Masters’ art at any point during the term. At the end of the term (August 1, 2009), all rights to unpublished layouts will revert back to the respective Masters and Runners-up.
After Masters and Runners-up have been announced for 2009 (no later than August 22, 2008), all rights to the remaining entrants’ work revert back to said entrants.
Memory Makers is unable to return any original layouts, unless they become published, at which time artists also will be compensated for their work.
